What is your contact number so I can call you?
We do not have a manned office or general contact number. As a club run by volunteers, we also do not make our personal numbers available. If you have a query that is not answered below, or on our Registration FAQs page, please email us at info.sufc@gmail.com.
When are you open?
As we are run by volunteers, our clubhouse is not open during the day. We also do not generally open the clubhouse each night as volunteers are already involved in coaching and training, however we may for special events (eg. training night kit hand outs), which will be advertised beforehand.
Members can come down to the club when games are on (Friday nights, Saturday morning and nights, and Sunday morning) if they need to speak to someone face to face.

When will I receive my training kit?
We will hold kit handout sessions prior to the commencement of training for each age group, subject to the arrival of the kit. These are usually held on Saturday mornings.
Kit handout dates will be announced on social media when finalised, with our aim to hold them before training commences.
Our club is not normally 'open' during the day, or even at night during training, so parents/players are strongly encouraged to attend a kit hand out session.
Please note kit will only be provided to players who have completed all required registrations and either paid their fees in full, or have signed up to a payment plan for balance of fees.
How will I know what team my child is in?
Once teams are finalised, team information will usually be shared through the club’s communication channels, team manager, coach or Majestri Team Dugout.
Parents should make sure they are logging in with the same email address used during registration.

Most teams use a team communication app or group chat organised by the coach or manager.

What should I do if I am not receiving messages?
First, check that you are using the correct email address and phone number connected to the player’s registration.

What should I do if my child cannot attend training or a game?
Please let your coach or manager know as early as possible.
This is especially important for games, as coaches need to plan team numbers, substitutions and positions. Late withdrawals can affect the whole team.

When and where does my team train?
Training is held at Springfield United’s home grounds at:

Each team is allocated a field space, day and time. These allocations are listed on the Training Times & Field Map page.
Players should only train in their team’s allocated area unless directed by their coach, manager or the club.
Can our team train over the school holidays?
Training over the school holidays will be commuicated to you by your coaches and managers as this can change on a term-to-term basis.
My team trains on a Monday, if there is a public holiday, is training on?
Training on holidays will be commuicated to you by your coaches and managers. As a club, we remain open to allow teams that only train once a week to utilise their training allocation. Training is on a per team basis.
Can training times change during the season?
Yes. Training times and field allocations may change due to team numbers, field availability, coaching availability, lighting, weather, maintenance or other club requirements.
Any changes will usually be communicated through the team coach or manager.
What should players bring to training?
Players should bring:
Players will be provided a training kit of shirt, shorts and socks, which are to be worn to training sessions.
Football boots and shin guards are provided by the player/parents.
How do I know if training or games are cancelled?
If wet weather affects training, the club will inspect the fields as late as possible before making a decision.
Where Council has not already closed the fields, Springfield United will aim to inspect the grounds from approximately 3:00pm to 4:00pm at the latest.

Where can I find fixtures?
Fixtures are usually available through Squadi once released by Football Queensland. These fixtures are often not available until the week prior to the first game of the season. Please check fixture details each week, as game times, venues and field numbers can change.
Your team coach or manager may also share fixtures through your team communication channel.
How do I add my/my child's team to my watchlist in Squadi?
Adding and removing teams from your watchlist is easy!
You can add multiple teams to your watchlist.
Please note: You cannot add any teams to your watchlist until the draw has been published by Football Queensland.
What do we wear to games?
When the games start, there will be a separate game shirt (jersey) that will be provided (this is to be returned to the club at the end of each season, whereas the training kit is yours to keep).
The socks and shorts provided with the training kit are to be worn on the game day also. If there is an issue with wearing/washing them multiple times per week, the club does allow other shorts and socks to be worn for training, provided these are either the same colour as the training ones provided or are black/navy blue.
Football boots and shin guards are provided by the player/parents.

How can I volunteer at Springfield United?
Springfield United is a community club and relies on volunteers to help the season run smoothly.
There are many ways families can help, including:
You do not need to be a football expert to volunteer. Many roles are simple, and support can be provided.

Springfield United is run by volunteers, and every bit of help makes a difference. Families are encouraged to check the Volunteer Hub during the season for current opportunities and information on how to get involved.Do I need football experience to volunteer?
No. Many volunteer roles do not require football experience.
Roles such as field set-up, pack-up, ground official, fundraising helper and team support can be done by anyone. For coaching or managing roles, the club can provide guidance and resources to help you get started.
Do I need a Blue Card to volunteer?
Some volunteer roles may require a valid Blue Card, especially roles involving regular contact with children.
Coaches, managers and other team officials may need to complete Blue Card requirements before starting in their role. The club will advise should this be required.
How do I become a coach or manager?
If you are interested in coaching or managing a team, please contact the club or speak with your age coordinator.
Coaches and managers are especially important in MiniRoos, junior and community football. Without these roles filled, teams may not be able to train or play.

How will I know when volunteers are needed?

What happens if no one volunteers for a team?
If a team does not have the required volunteers, it may affect training, game day organisation or whether the team can operate properly.
Some roles, such as coach and manager, are essential. If these roles are not filled, the club may not be able to allocate or continue the team.
